DESCRIPTION

Product: Burdock Root
Latin Name: Arctium lappa syn. Arctium majus, Arcion majus, Arcion tomentosum and Lappa glabra.
Plant Family: Asteraceae

Other Names: Greater burdock, Edible burdock, Lappa, Beggar's Button, Fox's Clote, Thorny Burr, Cockle Buttons, Love Leaves, Happy Major and Clot-Bur.

Description: Our Burdock Root has an earthy, rooty flavour with an intriguing hint of sweetness and bitterness that’s similar to artichoke (they are actually related!)

SUGGESTED USE

Burdock Root’s earthy, sweet flavour makes it ideal for soups and herbal teas (just make sure you infuse with boiling water!) This dried root is one of the key ingredients in the classic drink Dandelion and Burdock.
