Vegan Barbecue Burgers πŸ”

Get ready for barbecue season with these vegan burgers bursting with flavour!

Ingredients

Olive oil
400g Chickpeas
4 tablespoons Barbecue spice blend
3 tablespoons Flour

Instructions

Fry the chopped onion in a pan with oil until they start to brown. Pop the cooked onions, chickpeas and barbecue spice blend into a food processor and process into a thick burger batter (or mash in a bowl with a potato masher).

Sprinkle flour over a baking tray and cover your hands with it as well. Scoop the batter out onto the tray in 4 even sections, roll in the flour and form into 4 balls.

If the batter is very sticky or too wet, add more flour so that it easily forms a ball. Press down on each burger to flatten into a burger shape. Pop onto a baking tray and place in the fridge for half an hour.

Add oil to a frying pan and heat until hot, add the burgers and fry on each side until golden brown.

Serve in a bun and enjoy!
