Plant Family: Asteraceae
Other Names: Old Man, Lad's Love, Boy's Love, Sweet Benjamin, Appleringie, Garderobe, Armoise Citronelle, Aurone, Our Lord’s Wood, Maid's Ruin, Abrotana, Ebberante, Kaysum & Sitherwood.
Description: You may be reminded of lemon when you try this aromatic herb due to its warm taste with a little bitterness and camphor-like scent.
SUGGESTED USE
Add Southernwood to meats and soups before cooking or serve as a healthy herbal tea. All you have to do is place 1 – 2 tablespoons into a pot with 300ml of boiling water, cover and simmer for 15 – 20 minutes, strain, sweeten and serve.
