Description: Our hot curry powder is blended for people who like their curries to have a little heat and fire and is a flavoursome mix of deliciously fragrant ingredients. Coriander, Turmeric, Salt, Mustard, Cumin, Cayenne, Paprika, and Cardamom are blended with just the right amount of Citric Acid to help give your curries and spicy Indian dishes a real fiery kick which is not for the faint hearted.
To make a deliciously spicy curry, make a basic curry sauce base using onions, tinned tomatoes and stock, simply fry off the onions, then dry fry the hot curry powder for 1 minute (don’t allow it to burn or the spices will take on a bitter flavour) then add the tinned tomatoes and stock, when the sauce is cooked through and at the desired consistency add your chosen cooked meat or vegetables. A pinch of hot curry powder can be added to egg and cheese dishes, sauces and salad dressings and soups, how much you use depends on how spicy you want your finished dish to be. Sprinkle a little over freshly made popcorn and potato crisps for a spicy savoury twist, why not add a little to a breadcrumb coating for chicken or fish to bring the flavours of India to the table?
