JustIngredients Organic Paprika

Shakshouka is a Maghrebi dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, olive oil, peppers, onion and garlic and quite frankly, it's de-lish!


1 Onion diced
1 Red bell pepper seeded & diced
4 Garlic cloves chopped
1 Green pepper
2 teaspoon Organic paprika
1 teaspoon Organic turmeric
1/4 teaspoon Chili powder
800g Chopped tomatoes
Salt to taste
3 Eggs
Fresh cilantro or parsley
Feta cheese


Heat olive oil in a pan over a medium heat and sauté the onions. Tip in the bell pepper and stir.

Add the garlic and green pepper, sprinkle in the paprika, turmeric and chili powder, stir and cook for 1 minute.

Spoon in the tomatoes and break down using a spoon then season with salt and pepper.

Use a spoon to make small wells in the sauce, crack the eggs into the wells, cover the pan and cook for 5 - 8 minutes or until the eggs are done.

Garnish with cilantro or parsley and crumble feta cheese on top to serve.
